This weeks player of the week is :            Brendan Wise.

Congratulations to Brendan on his second win on the hill as a starter for the Melville Braves State League Team. Brendan beat Wembley last week, 10 running the Magpies 13-3 in 7 innings pitched, conceding 6 hits, 1 BB, 3 runs and 1 HPB while striking out 6 and giving up only 3 earned runs. A total of 102 pitches with 33 balls and 69 strikes. This week Wisey threw 5 1/3 inning against Gosnells, conceded 4 hits, 1 walk, 1 wild pitch and 1 earned run while striking out 5 along the way to a 7-4 win against the Hawks. Brendan threw 30 balls and 51 strikes in his 81 pitch outing, averaging around 15 pitches per inning. This young 16 year old is showing everybody he can pitch and we look forward to his progression over the next couple of months.
